In summary, I chose to work with Daphne Quay After interviewing several real estate agents in Austin before my first visit, and through a lot of care and personal attention, she negotiated a really great deal for me on a high-quality home in dripping springs. She was awesome, personal, attentive, and responsive, and was extremely supportive through some pretty stressful twists and turns I had encountered in the home buying process. And with the difficulties covid-19 has brought to doing business, she always wore a mask, and was safe but was present. She was on-site in dripping springs and on time for my final walk-through, and she was present at closing. The longer story is that my home search and buying process spanned the last November through July, and Daphne worked diligently to help navigate through the snags. There is really no question that she went above and beyond, and I would recommend to anyone looking to buy or sell a property to rely on her for her experience. Here's the detailed version of how Daphne supported me in the home-buying process. Last December, I reached out to several Realtor® to find out about their experiences and get a feel for their personalities. Daphne stood out in that she listened attentively to important decision-making factors such as what I did for a living and how I worked, what I liked to do in my free time, and what aspects were important in a home to fit my lifestyle goals. She was able to translate those elements into what communities and homes might suit me best. Whenever we planned time to look at houses, Daphne always came prepared and made sure I was doing my homework ahead of time too, so we would spend more time looking at the houses most relevant to me. Daphne is very knowledgeable about the Austin Real Estate Market and living in Austin itself. She had helpful insights into each area we visited, the pros and cons, a bit of the history of the housing market in that area, and how it might or might not fit my goals. She was able to talk about important factors like property tax rates where the best amenities were in an area, proximity to technology companies, and how that affects resale value and community growth potential. She spent a great deal of time answering my questions and educating me on the buying process. Eventually, I selected to have a home built, and I monitored that process closely. But with that first home, there were problems with the house code violations, framing issues, and lots of lost sleep. Daphne was really supportive, showed up on-site with the construction manager and me to see what was going on, and in the end, she helped me to back out of a bad deal and get my deposit refunded. We set off again in pursuit of finding a better home. Daphne pointed me in the right direction by looking at some higher-quality builders in Lakeway, Belterra, and Georgetown. I was much more attentive to quality, and Daphne was able to once again shift with my more specific requirements. As I said in my summary, I found my perfect home in dripping springs. It's everything I could have dreamed of. Daphne's negotiating skills are super on point, she really got the price down and got the builder to include closing cost incentives. She showed up on time for the final walkthrough and was then present at closing to help answer my (first-time homebuyer) questions. I really love my new house, it's perfect, everything I wanted. I really enjoyed working with Daphne Quay and would recommend her to anyone looking for personalized service and fantastic support through the process.
Daphne is awesome! I randomly reached out regarding a house via email question and she called me not even five minutes later. She worked with me for a good 6 months while we were looking to move across the country. She provided great suggestions, was always there to answer questions, and responded very quickly. I had a few fears about moving to the area we selected but she was able to provide me with all the information to let me be able to make an informed choice. She drove me around to look at houses and it was great having her expert eye along. She was checking things that I wouldn't have, like seeing how old the furnace was/water heater/roofing. When it came down to negotiating, she was amazing! We were able to get exactly what we wanted and she managed to get us a few extra credits too. There were no secrets or surprises, she was extremely diligent and double-checked everything. Hands down the best Realtor® I have ever worked with. I would definitely recommend her to all my family and friends and would use her again in the future. She was also super sweet because I was so motion sick from the flight over she showed up with motion sickness relief meds and vitamin water. Even though I wasn't feeling good, she was so patient and didn't rush me, and was very understanding. She was also able to provide a great mortgage loan company when the one we were working with was not meeting our expectations. The same day we put in the offer on our house, she was able to put me in contact with a loan officer who guaranteed closing was not going to be an issue. Super impressed with how everything worked out. Even though we are on the west coast, she has stayed in touch with us every step of the way. We could not have gotten our dream home without her!
I have closed on my property last week; it was a long journey. I had my home for sale since late June of 2019. I was one of these owners that tried to sell a home by myself. I have met Daphne true the borrower that she represented. Unfortunately, the circumstances of the buyer’s employment forced the contract to be canceled. We first got to know Daphne, through Zillow just before Christmas. It had become clear that I was going to retire in January, and would move to texas, but where? We investigated 4 different markets and settled on Austin. During that initial decision-making process, Daphne showed us several houses and she was fully aware that the move was not imminent. She kept in touch and when I was able to sell my old house she spent 2 days showing several more houses, including one that we ultimately purchased. She is professional and knowledgeable. She also speaks fluent Spanish which was a help to us. I recommend her absolutely!
